Sincerely, SusieThere’s a New Cotton Batting in town - "Warm Tater" cotton. We’ve been asked how it differs from regular cotton batting and if it can be used to make our patterns (especially our hot pads), and the answer is no. It is not recommended for our designs because it’s really too thick - when we designed our patterns, we used what was available at the time; to achieve the thickness required while being fairly easy to sew through, we use Insul-Brite along with "Warm & Natural" or "Warm & White" cotton batting. The cotton batting in our patterns is used to absorb any condensation created by the "Insul-Brite," and the thickness of "Warm Tater" cotton (while nice) is really too much for our current designs. If any of you have tried "Warm Tater" cotton with our patterns, please share and let us know how it worked for you.
