As shown on the cover, we used three different red fabrics, hoping everyone would be creative and try a fabric they could find in their local quilt shop. One of the fabrics is just a basic red fabric with the spots appliqued on as desired. The middle Lady as shown on the cover was just black dots on a red background. The third Lady (closest to bottom of the photo) was a red fabric from Andover called "The Grouchy Ladybug." One of my favorite places to tell customers to try is "The Fat Quarter Shop," which is an on-line fabric store where you can search for what your looking for...like black dots, or stripes or dots, etc. But it’s always best to try your local quilt shops first for good quality cotton fabrics.
